They have been on a continued period of growth and are looking to add to their existing team.Process EngineerLivingstonPermanent£40,000 - £43,000Excellent benefits and progression opportunitiesMain accountabilities and responsibilities:You will play a key part in enhancing and optimising manufacturing processes, key responsibilities include:• Process Design & Control duties within an SMT setting.• Supporting new product and process development projects.• Managing and maintaining Bills of Materials (BOMs) and routers for all products.• Leading Lean Manufacturing initiatives, focusing on material flow optimisation, waste reduction, and the Visual Factory.• Driving continuous improvement projects to improve product quality and reduce cycle times.• Maintaining departmental documentation and standards.• Developing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for ISO compliance and other initiatives.• Collaborating with personnel at all levels to gain expertise in products and processes.Must have: • Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering. Will consider qualified by experience.• Proven manufacturing experience in Process Design and Control Engineering.• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.• Experience in Lean Manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies such as Kaizen, 6S, and FMEA to drive continuous improvement.• Experience with SMT (Surface Mount Technology) beneficial but will consider experienced Process Engineers from other sectors.• Meticulous attention to detail.Working hours:You will be working 37.5 hours per week, Monday-Friday, 07:45-16:15 and Friday, 07:45-13:15.Please note this role will be site based.
