Recognised for Business Transformation by Scottish Engineering in 2021, this is a business with a strong order book, providing long-term job security and genuine career development opportunities. You will play a key part in enhancing and optimising manufacturing processes, key responsibilities include:
  • Process Design & Control duties within an SMT setting.
  • Supporting new product and process development projects.
  • Managing and maintaining Bills of Materials (BOMs) and routers for all products.
  • Leading Lean Manufacturing initiatives, focusing on material flow optimisation, waste reduction, and the Visual Factory.
  • Driving continuous improvement projects to improve product quality and reduce cycle times.
  • Maintaining departmental documentation and standards.
  • Developing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for ISO compliance and other initiatives.
  • Collaborating with personnel at all levels to gain expertise in products and processes.
We’re looking for a Process Engineer with:
  • Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering. Will consider qualified by experience.
  • Proven manufacturing experience in Process Design and Control Engineering.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Experience in Lean Manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies such as Kaizen, 6S, and FMEA to drive continuous improvement.
  • Experience with SMT (Surface Mount Technology) beneficial but will consider experienced Process Engineers from other sectors.
  • Meticulous attention to detail.
