A busy main contractor based in Fife is seeking an experienced Project Manager to start on a retail development in West Lothian. This reputable contractor operates within a range of sectors, including commercial, industrial, healthcare, and more.
As Project Manager, you will play a key role in the successful delivery of a diverse range of projects. You will manage all aspects of the project from start to finish, ensuring it is completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality.
Key responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the day-to-day operations of construction projects, starting on a circa £3m build in Livingston.
- Liaise with clients, consultants, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure clear communication and efficient project progress.
- Monitor and manage the project budget, ensuring the project remains within cost.
- Create and manage the project schedule, ensuring milestones and deadlines are met.
- Oversee the procurement process, including managing suppliers and subcontractors.
- Ensure that all health and safety standards are adhered to and that the site is compliant with relevant regulations.
- Provide regular progress reports to senior management and clients.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues as they arise during the construction process.
- Foster a positive team culture on-site, promoting collaboration and effective problem-solving.
About you:
- Proven experience as a Project Manager in the construction industry, with experience managing new-build and refurbishment projects.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage client relationships and lead a team.
- Ability to problem-solve and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Working understanding of health and safety regulations and compliance requirements.
- Relevant qualifications in construction project management or engineering are preferred.
- SMSTS, CSCS, and First Aid certifications.
