  • The salary for this role is competitive, and candidates should ideally have at least 1-2 years of relevant experience.

My client is a well-known and respected main contractor who deliver a variety of refurbishment projects (500k-3m). They are looking for an Assistant QS to join the team, and this will ideally suit an ambitious assistant QS who is keen to lead and deliver their own projects.Reporting into the commercial manager you will be responsible for:

  • Assist with the prompt and regular submission of payment applications and preparation of sub-contractor payments
  • Prepare draft sub-contracts
  • Monitor sub-contractor performance
  • Pricing variations/design cost control/value engineering
  • Recording of delays & preparation of any request for extensions of time
  • Support with the settlement of final accounts

You Will Need:-

  • HND/Degree in Quantity Surveying
  • Experience within main contracting, ideally on commercial and education projects.
  • Methodical approach to tasks undertaken
  • IT literacy in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
