Sonic Summary

My client, a respected main contractor, is seeking an Assistant QS to join their team and manage refurbishment projects ranging from 500k to 3m.
The ideal candidate should have experience in main contracting, preferably in commercial and education projects, and hold an HND or degree in Quantity Surveying.
Responsibilities include assisting with payment applications, preparing sub-contracts, monitoring sub-contractor performance, and pricing variations.
The position requires a methodical approach, IT literacy in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, and a keen ambition to lead projects.
The salary for this role is competitive, and candidates should ideally have at least 1-2 years of relevant experience.

My client is a well-known and respected main contractor who deliver a variety of refurbishment projects (500k-3m). They are looking for an Assistant QS to join the team, and this will ideally suit an ambitious assistant QS who is keen to lead and deliver their own projects.Reporting into the commercial manager you will be responsible for:

Assist with the prompt and regular submission of payment applications and preparation of sub-contractor payments
Prepare draft sub-contracts
Monitor sub-contractor performance
Pricing variations/design cost control/value engineering
Recording of delays & preparation of any request for extensions of time
Support with the settlement of final accounts

You Will Need:-

HND/Degree in Quantity Surveying
Experience within main contracting, ideally on commercial and education projects.
Methodical approach to tasks undertaken
IT literacy in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
