As the business enters an exciting period of growth, we're searching for a motivated and ambitious Control Systems Engineer to join the team. Key Responsibilities:

You will be involved in a variety of engineering projects, including:

  • Programming PLC control systems and configuring SCADA systems.
  • Participating in all stages of the system lifecycle, from design and coding to testing, installation, and documentation.
  • Working within project teams to meet customer deadlines.
  • Performing on-site installation, configuration, testing, and commissioning.

While primarily office-based, the role will require occasional travel to customer sites across Scotland and potentially overseas.



Ideal Skills & Experience:

  • Strong background in designing and implementing PLC Control Systems across various sectors (e.g., Oil & Gas, Food & Beverage, Energy).
  • Hands-on experience with systems such as:
    • Rockwell Automation (ControlLogix, CompactLogix, RSLogix, Studio 5000, FactoryTalk View).
    • Siemens (TIA Portal, Step 7, WinCC, PCS 7).
    • Industrial protocols like Profibus, Profinet, and Ethernet.
  • Competence in producing Functional Design Specifications, schematic diagrams, software development, and hardware builds.
  • Experience in testing, commissioning, and conducting design reviews is advantageous.
