This school offers a high-quality teaching experience for all students and are keen to develop their pupils into mature young adults. They pride themselves on a framework contributing directly to the progress of each student.
We are now looking to appoint a Design and Technology Technician to support the delivery of DT, product design as well as help out in the Science department. We are looking for someone with experience in preparing a range of materials to support teaching, awareness of health and safety legislation and has the ability to be creative and think outside the box to provide practical solutions. They are also looking for someone to use their initiative and are proactive in supporting individual pupils across the class. The role requires effective communication and teamwork skills. In addition, successful candidates must be committed to all aspects of school life.
You are likely to be someone who:
• Has experience working in a school or similar setting with young people.
• Is excited to show your imagination and creativity in Design & Technology, which would inspire our students in their own creative skills and gain confidence in using different materials to their best abilities.
• Can problem solve and ‘think on your feet’ to provide practical solutions.
• Is flexible, able to work under pressure, meet deadlines and prioritise workloads effectively as well as being a team player who communicates effectively.
• Is organised, efficient and confident in their work and abilities.
• Has a commitment to the aims and values of comprehensive education, the school’s vision and ethos.
