Hours: Full-Time, Monday - Friday 9-5 (with on-call requirements)
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Mental Health Nurse (RMN) or Learning Disability Nurse (RNLD) to join a leading neuropsychiatric rehabilitation service in Newport, South Wales. This role offers the chance to be a key member of the leadership team in a specialist hospital that provides care for adults with neuropsychiatric disorders, acquired brain injuries, and degenerative neurological conditions.
The service comprises single-gender units designed to provide tailored, high-quality rehabilitation care and focuses on achieving positive outcomes for patients and their families.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide strategic and clinical leadership to the multi-disciplinary team (MDT).
- Guide the implementation of treatment models and support best practices for neuropsychiatric care.
- Ensure compliance with NICE guidelines and safety standards.
- Develop and oversee care plans and behavior support strategies for patients.
- Conduct clinical audits to monitor outcomes and drive continuous improvement.
- Promote a culture of dignity, respect, and patient rights.
- Support the lifelong learning and development of your team.
- Deputise for the Hospital Director when required and participate in an on-call rota.
To be eligible for this role, you must:
- Be a Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) or Registered Learning Disability Nurse (RNLD).
- Hold a valid and clear NMC PIN.
- Have strong leadership experience in an inpatient environment.
- Ideally have experience as a Ward Manager or similar senior role.
- Have neuropsychiatric experience or a strong interest in neuropsychiatric conditions.
- Possess excellent communication, leadership, and team management skills.
