We are seeking a dedicated Youth Worker to join our team, providing high-quality care and support to young people with learning difficulties, disabilities, and autism. This role is ideal for someone passionate about making a difference, promoting independence, and removing barriers to learning.
Day to Day Responsibilities:
- Provide tailored emotional and practical support to individuals, addressing their unique needs.
- Assist with daily living tasks including meal preparation, personal hygiene, and medication management.
- Develop, implement, and review individual care plans in partnership with service users.
- Collaborate with family members, healthcare providers, and other relevant parties for comprehensive care.
- Maintain accurate records of care, adhering to confidentiality and data protection standards.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- A valid driver’s license due to the remote location.
- Understanding of the challenges faced by young people with learning difficulties, disabilities, and autism.
- Awareness of Health & Safety and Safeguarding principles.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of building trust and rapport.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- Previous experience in a support role is preferred.
- NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care or equivalent is desirable.
