Job Title: Financial Accountant

??Location: Llandudno (Hybrid working available: 2 days in office, 3 days at home after probation)

About the Role:

We are partnering with a leading organisation in the hearing care sector to help them find a Financial Accountant who will play a pivotal role in managing financial processes across the UK and Republic of Ireland. This position will be ideal for someone with a strong financial background, ideally ACA, ACCA, or CIMA-qualified (or part-qualified), and at least three years of experience in accounting and tax. You’ll work in a collaborative team, ensuring the delivery of accurate financial reports, supporting budgeting and forecasting, and driving continuous improvement across the finance function.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and submit management accounts and financial information packs on time.
  • Handle month-end processes and ensure timely tax filings (corporation tax and VAT).
  • Assist with statutory audits, year-end accounts, and government submissions.
  • Contribute to the annual budgeting and monthly reforecasting processes.
  • Review incentive scheme payouts and reconciliations.
  • Proactively manage financial controls and improve processes, systems, and controls.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
  • Support financial performance by providing insights and constructive challenges.

Key Skills and Experience:

  • Qualified ACA, ACCA, or CIMA (part-qualified candidates will be considered).
  • At least 3 years of relevant accounting experience, with expertise in management accounts and tax.
  • Strong Excel skills and IT literacy.
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work closely with senior stakeholders and contribute to strategic financial decisions.
  • Attention to detail and a proactive approach to improving financial systems.
