Our client is a well-established and highly regarded engineering company which seeks to be at the forefront of the Machining and Fabrication Industries. They are currently based in near Llanelli, but they are due to re-locate to Swansea early next year.

They have been steadily developing their business to service an extremely diverse range of sectors. Primary sectors include; Renewable Energy, Construction, Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs), Oil & Gas, Nuclear Energy, Environmental, Flood Defence, Security, Manufacturing, Automotive, Utilities etc.

They are especially excited about the emerging opportunities afforded to us with the various renewable energy technologies. The work variation reflects the sectors serviced. The organisation is further expanding its machining division to meet the demands of these markets. To achieve this, we need more good people.

A new Business Development Plan and expansion plan is now in place with significant new clients joining our, already long established and respected customer base. They are committed to steadily adding to their team. This enables us to meet long-term customer requirements, whilst always developing our existing skilled and loyal workforce.

The successful applicants will need to be highly skilled and have a positive, 'can-do' approach to their work. You will need to be enthusiastic and committed to producing very high standards, at all times. You will need to be a dedicated team 'player', with a strong contribution to the effectiveness and efficiency of the department being essential.

Requirements:

  • Experience setting and operating 3/4/5 axis CNC Milling machines as required
  • Experience with Hurco and Doosan machines would be advantageous
  • Programming experience would be preferable, Autodesk fusion/ Hurco Winmax would be advantageous
  • Must have a flexible approach to work tasks
  • An interest in developing skills enabling the operation of a recently installed large CMM would be beneficial (training provided)
  • Ability to read engineering drawings and to maintain accuracy to all required tolerances
  • Self-motivated and able to work with minimum supervision whilst in a team environment
  • Excellent communication skills.
