The Recruitment Co. is currently recruiting for a Mechanical Fitter to join our clients growing Automotive Manufacturing team based in the Llanelli area.


Contract: Permanent
Salary: £30,000p.a
Hours of work: DAYS Monday to Friday (37 hours per week)


The successful Mechanical Fitter will play a pivotal role in the company's mission to innovate and lead in the manufacturing industry. Role Duties:

  • Engage in the assembly and disassembly of internal combustion engines
  • Interpret engineering drawings with precision
  • Utilise hand and power tools, including spanners and torque wrenches
  • Adhere to strict health and safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment
  • Conduct tests and gather data using both mechanical and electronic equipment, analysing findings to report on project progress
  • Provide feedback on diagnostic applications and validate final software and hardware releases


Candidate requirements:

  • Experience with engine mechanics, either professionally or as a personal hobby
  • A solid mechanical background including the use of both hand and power tools
  • Must be mechanically minded
  • A full UK Driving License, with a preference for a clean record.
  • A proactive, detail-oriented approach to tasks and projects
  • The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
  • Qualifications or a degree in Motorsport Engineering or Automotive Engineering would be highly advantageous
  • This role would suit someone who has previous experience working with car Engines either in a workshop environment or someone that does this as a hobby and is looking to progress
