  • Key responsibilities include monitoring plant performance, implementing improvements, and assisting with safety and environmental compliance.
  • The salary for this position is competitive and commensurate with experience.

Responsibilities:


  • Support objectives set by the Site Manager which in turn meet the needs of the Performance Products (PP) Business and its customers.
  • Monitor and optimise plant performance daily to ensure safe, efficient and reliable plant operation
  • Identify, design and implement process plant improvements / modifications through Management of Change process.
  • Support and improve Safe Systems of Work programme including permit to work and Energy Isolation Procedures.
  • Assist with Environmental compliance including monitoring performance.
  • Support site Process Safety programme by assisting with Process Safety studies (HAZOP, LOPA etc).
  • Provide engineering support to Operations, helping to troubleshoot and resolve plant performance issues.
  • Ownership of site Operating procedures, responsible for keeping procedures compliant and making improvements when identified
  • Assist with training of Operations personnel.
  • Manage Operations records



Requirements:

  • Degree qualified in Chemical Engineering or relevant subject area.



Desirable:

  • Knowledge of process equipment design and modelling software systems.
  • Member of a recognised engineering or scientific institution with Professional Status.
  • 1 to 2 years Process Engineering experience within the Oil, Chemical or allied Process Industries.
  • Experience of leading site based improvement projects.
  • Experience of Process Safety Management systems including HAZOP, PHA, LOPA, MOC, SOP.
