Responsibilities:
- Support objectives set by the Site Manager which in turn meet the needs of the Performance Products (PP) Business and its customers.
- Monitor and optimise plant performance daily to ensure safe, efficient and reliable plant operation
- Identify, design and implement process plant improvements / modifications through Management of Change process.
- Support and improve Safe Systems of Work programme including permit to work and Energy Isolation Procedures.
- Assist with Environmental compliance including monitoring performance.
- Support site Process Safety programme by assisting with Process Safety studies (HAZOP, LOPA etc).
- Provide engineering support to Operations, helping to troubleshoot and resolve plant performance issues.
- Ownership of site Operating procedures, responsible for keeping procedures compliant and making improvements when identified
- Assist with training of Operations personnel.
- Manage Operations records
Requirements:
- Degree qualified in Chemical Engineering or relevant subject area.
Desirable:
- Knowledge of process equipment design and modelling software systems.
- Member of a recognised engineering or scientific institution with Professional Status.
- 1 to 2 years Process Engineering experience within the Oil, Chemical or allied Process Industries.
- Experience of leading site based improvement projects.
- Experience of Process Safety Management systems including HAZOP, PHA, LOPA, MOC, SOP.
