Senior Clinical PsychologistSouth Wales£53,755 - £60,504 per annumPermanent As a Senior Clinical Psychologist, you will be a key member of our multi/interdisciplinary team, providing specialist clinical psychology and neuropsychology input for individuals with acquired brain injuries. You will lead in delivering the neurobehavioural rehabilitation model, collaborate with colleagues, families, and service users, and engage in research to further enhance the quality of care.Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct specialist psychological and neuropsychological assessments using diverse tools and approaches, including psychological tests, observations, and interviews.
  • Develop and implement tailored rehabilitation plans based on SMART goals and evidence-based interventions.
  • Provide expert psychological perspectives during multi/interdisciplinary team assessments and contribute to therapeutic approaches.
  • Deliver a range of psychological interventions (individual, family, group) while evaluating outcomes.
  • Offer psychological guidance and consultation to families, carers, and external professionals.
  • Manage risk assessments and provide input on risk management strategies.
  • Act as a clinical lead/keyworker for service users and support care coordination.
  • Participate in on-call support for the unit as part of a rota.
  • Engage in relevant research and contribute to the development of neurorehabilitation services.

Essential Qualifications and Experience:

  • Degree in Psychology (BPS-recognised for Graduate Basis Registration) or equivalent.
  • Doctorate in Clinical Psychology (BPS accredited) or equivalent for HCPC registration.
  • HCPC registration as a Practitioner Psychologist.
  • Demonstrated interest in clinical neuropsychology and knowledge of acquired brain injury pathology.
  • Experience producing clinical reports and working within multi/interdisciplinary teams.
  • At least two years' post-qualification experience in a relevant clinical area.
