Grounds Maintenance Operative

VNA Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Grounds Maintenance Operative for our client based in Llanelli.

As a Grounds Maintenance Operative, you will be responsible for the upkeep and enhancement of various outdoor spaces, including parks, gardens, and recreational areas. Your work will ensure that these areas are well-maintained, safe, and aesthetically pleasing for the community.

Key Responsibilities:

• Mowing lawns and trimming edges
• Planting, pruning, and maintaining flower beds, shrubs, and trees
• Removing litter and debris from public areas
• Performing basic landscaping tasks and minor repairs
• Operating and maintaining grounds maintenance equipment and machinery
• Adhering to health and safety regulations and company policies
• Reporting any damage or issues with public spaces

Requirements:

• Previous experience in grounds maintenance or a related field is advantageous but not essential
• Strong work ethic and reliability
• Good physical fitness, as the role involves manual labour
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Knowledge of horticultural practices is beneficial
• Full UK driving licence is desirable but not mandatory
