A Rehabilitation Support Worker (RSW) provides practical and emotional support to individuals recovering from illness, injury, surgery, or long-term conditions. They work alongside healthcare professionals to help clients regain independence and improve their quality of life.
Key Responsibilities:- Assist clients with daily activities such as mobility, personal care, and exercise routines.
- Support rehabilitation programs prescribed by physiotherapists, occupational therapists, and other healthcare professionals.
- Encourage independence by helping clients develop life skills and confidence.
- Provide emotional support and companionship.
- Monitor and report progress to healthcare teams and families.
- Assist with the use of mobility aids and adaptive equipment.
- Support clients in their homes or community settings, ensuring a safe and comfortable environment.
- Preferredif workers can drive.
