We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and self-motivated Strategic Financial Manager to temporarily join the Senior Leadership Team at this school in Denbigshire. This pivotal role involves providing strategic financial and operational management support to the Primary Schools within the Cluster and to Ysgol Dinas Br?n. The ideal candidate will work closely with Headteachers to ensure the effective use of resources and maintain financial health across the schools.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Collaborate with Headteachers to provide strategic financial and operational management support.
  • Prepare detailed three-year budgets that forecast the budget position based on staffing and pupil number scenarios.
  • Engage effectively at all levels within the schools, with the confidence to challenge decisions and make recommendations for improvements.
  • Ensure the effective and efficient use of resources within the schools to maintain financial health.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Extensive knowledge of spreadsheet production.
  • Proven ability to prepare detailed multi-year budgets.
  • Minimum qualification of NVQ level 4 in accounting (AAT) or equivalent.
  • Strong engagement skills and the ability to challenge and influence decisions.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
