Acorn by Synerige is working in partnership with a national M&E contractor based in South Wales. Due to a strong pipeline of work for 2025/2026, they are looking to expand their mechanical team.

They are looking for experienced commercial Plumber Pipefitter to join their team on a full time permanent bases. The company is based just outside Cardiff but caters across Wales, South West and other locations across the UK.

The successful candidates must have a knowledge of the commercial systems and how the components within systems relate to each other. Within your role you will be responsible to plan, organise and undertake the installation of various systems to a high standard whilst using efficient resources to so. Allocated tasks will be given to you by the supervisor or Project Manager that you will be able to effectively complete, safely and with consideration to environmental impact using industry recognised practices.

Candidates must be able to carry out pipework fabrication, installation and jointing techniques for industrial and commercial system such as soldering, press fit, threading and fusion welding. The installation of bracket systems for distribution systems and the positioning and assembly of plant such as boilers, air source heat pumps, storage vessels etc.

Undertake allocated work tasks in the testing, pre-commissioning, commissioning and decommissioning of industrial and commercial cold water systems, hot water systems, heating systems and chilled water systems. You must be able to demonstrate competence in the health and safety, communication, quality control and environmental requirements.

Based on 37.5 hours per week, 8.00AM to 4.30PM Monday to Thursday and 8.00AM to 3.30PM Friday (excludes travel time) and 0.5 hour for lunch. Some occasional weekend work or overtime may feature. Hours worked over 37,5 hours paid at x1.5. Working away will see an up lift of 1 per hour. Not all projects are in South Wales so seeking individuals that would be willing to work away through the week. If required to work away, then lodging will be provided.
