Are you a skilled and motivated individual with a passion for operations and supply chain management? We are seeking a talented Operations Coordinator to join our clients team based in Loanhead, Midlothian.
Working 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday this is a full time office based role.
As an Operations Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in streamlining their supply chain, ensuring efficient production, and optimizing business processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee Supply Chain Management: Ensure timely procurement and delivery of materials and components.
- Process Orders: Handle incoming orders, raise purchase orders, and confirm sales orders.
- Collaborate with Production: Work closely with the Production Manager to meet production targets and budgets.
- Manage Finances: Process customer invoices and support financial activities.
- Utilize MRP Systems: Leverage MRP software for inventory tracking, production metrics, and performance reporting.
- Build Relationships: Establish and maintain strong relationships with hauliers.
- Drive Continuous Improvement: Lead initiatives to enhance productivity, reduce waste, and improve product quality.
- Ensure Safety: Adhere to health and safety regulations within the production environment.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Proven experience in operations management or a similar manufacturing role.
- Strong understanding of supply chain management principles, particularly within the steel industry.
- Proficiency in MRP and finance software.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- A proactive approach and a commitment to continuous improvement.
