Support Worker / Senior Support Worker– Homelessness / Temporary Accommodation

Contract: Permanent – Full-time positions available.

Location: Midlothian – various positions and locations within Midlothian available.

Salary: £23,400-£25,754 per annum, depending on position, qualifications and experience.

21 HSC are looking to recruit a number of Homelessness Support Workers for various locations around the Midlothian area for a large charity. All the roles are on a full-time permanent basis working 36 hours per week which is made up from 4x 9-hour shifts. We have both day shift and night shift contracts available as well as some Senior Support Worker positions available. There is also an element of weekend working, you are required to work every second weekend.

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Provide support that positively impacts the service user’s health and wellbeing.
  • Contribute and implement support plans.
  • Be responsible for the delivery of all support and its administration, including personal care, tenancy support, health needs (including assistance with medication), personal development, emotional needs, and inclusion.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Previous experience working within the homelessness sector and/or experience working within criminal justice with people who have substance misuse problems.
  • SVQ 2 in Health & Social Care is desirable.
