Position: Mechanical Maintenance Engineer
Location: Lockerbie, Scotland
Salary: 39-45K + overtime, commensurate with experience
Nicholas Associates have an excellent opportunity for a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join our client's existing team, on-site in Lockerbie. The position reports to the Engineering Supervisor.
Candidates must be willing to work to an alternating shift / rota system consisting of 4 on / 4 off, day shift & night shift.
Duties & responsibilities
- H&S is adhered to
- To undertake PPM on basic mechanical systems
- To cover all maintenance of mechanical systems
- To complete PPM in line with agreements
- To undertake installation works such as improvements to the mill
- To respond to break downs requests, providing a professional & timely service
- To support the other members of the maintenance team between departments
Skills required
- Recognised apprenticeship or qualification in mechanical engineering or minimum 5 years' experience in mechanical fitting.
- A good team player, but also able to work alone
- Must be presentable & reliable
- Able to build good relationships at all levels, internally & externally
