Premier Recruitment Group are pleased to be partnering with a leading business based in Lockerbie, Dumfries and Galloway, South-Western Scotland to recruit for a forward thinking Mobile Fleet Support Technician. Very interesting and varied role. This is is full time and permanent position. Lockerbie based but covering Southern Scotland.

Job purpose:

To ensure company's units and trailers are repaired or refurbished to company standards and specifications, making the best use of time and resources.

Responsibilities:

  • To repair and maintain company LGV equipment
  • To ensure minimum disruption to haulage operations
  • Promote company in line with the yard handbook
  • Liaise with fleet maintenance on a daily basis re priority of repair/maintenance.
  • Check and maintain HGV trailers and units in the allocated coverage area.
  • Be available for out of hours breakdowns when reported by your manager.
  • Be fully aware of safe working practices, risk assessments, COSHH and MSDS.
  • Complete all paperwork accurately and submit within required time scales.
  • Follow all site rules.
  • Follow all customer site rules.
  • You must comply with all health and safety rules and regulations regarding the health and safety of yourself and others who may be affected by your acts or omissions.
  • Ensure company uniform is worn.
  • Use appropriate PPE.
  • Ensure you maintain your license and report any endorsements to the company.
  • Ensure company supplied tools and vehicles are kept in good working order.
  • You must comply with all legislation which applies to you.
  • Inform the company of any changes to your circumstances, e.g. change of address.
  • You must carry out any reasonable task required by the company
