Polytec are looking for an experienced Production Manager with a background in electronics for our client based a few miles north of Cambridge.
Responsibilities:
* Guide product build in accordance with the production plan ensuring sufficient production capacity to meet sales forecasts
* Minimize manufacturing costs with respect to materials and labour and improve productivity
* Carry out 6 monthly stock take, managing materials and finished goods stock
* Ensure compliance with quality standards, delivering quality products whilst working to improve production lead times
* Oversee and manage production team, including workload, absence, overtime and holidays, motivation, moral and discipline
* Develop and implement measures to improve efficiency, productivity and quality
* Proactively manage health and safety, promoting safe working and adherence to QMS documents, relevant procedures and company policies
* Carry out 6 monthly performance reviews, setting objectives, training and ensuring KPI's are met
* Evaluate supplier performance seeking alternatives where necessary
Requirements:
* Experience in a similar role in electronics manufacturing
* A good understanding of manufacturing principles, BOMS, works orders and materials management
* IT literate, proficient with Microsoft Office
* Demonstrable leadership qualities
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
