Salary: £25K/Year

Working hours: 40 hrs pw

Context

The company takes customers design files and produces 3d prints for them. It’s a very small company with currently just the director. I’m searching for someone who can handle all the in office/workshops duties related to producing and delivering the 3d printed parts to customers. The work involves some computer work, operating the machines and lots of post processing work. If you’re interested in model making and 3d printing, then you’ll likely enjoy this role.

You should be good with computers, enthusiastic about technology/design/manufacturing and like working with your hands finishing physical items. Good communication and patient problem solving is important. Reliable time keeping and multi-tasking are also important.

If the company grows and you’re willing to become accountable for the growing list of responsibilities, then that will of course justify a higher wage. The wage increase would be determined by a number of factors, we would discuss what objective milestones would be required to achieve a higher wage.

The training period will be at least 2 months, you will be learning on the job and all your training will be paid at the normal salary rate except for the first 3 days which are unpaid.

Current Key Duties - 3D Print Operator & Model finisher

1.     Responsible for keeping the fleet of 3D printers operating at maximum efficiency:

a) Maintain the printers – onload and offload prints

b) Fix and troubleshoot printers (with my remote assistance)

c) Post process resin & FDM 3d prints (washing, desupporting, sanding, measuring and curing)

d) Filtering incoming customer calls

e) Maintain the auxiliary equipment (washer, compressor etc)

f) Pack and post orders

g) Using companies ordering CRM system to help customers generate orders.

h) Receive parcels and deal with couriers and customer collections

i) Cleaning/maintaining the workshop/office

j) Photographing prints for website content

k) Miscellaneous tasks (for example transporting supplies)
