My client is a provider of industry leading commercial water systems and due to continued growth, they are looking for a full-time permanent Field Service Technician to help cover their South West OR North London patch.

They are not looking for candidates that have worked in this industry in the past - they want candidates that have a methodical way of thinking and can come from any background. What is important is the applicants have experience in using hand tools and have excellent customer service skills along with the ability and desire to be trained.

Their most recent recruits have come from PAT testing, bike building, white goods installation and electrical engineering backgrounds.

The successful candidate must have a full UK driving licence and be able to pass a DBS check as you would be expected to visit government buildings, police stations, banks etc.

Hours: Monday to Friday (Apply online only) (including travel times)

Starting salary: 30,000 to 34,000 pa - reviewed and progressed every six months based on KPI attainment.

Perm Role: INDPERM

Key Accountabilities:

* Installation, servicing and repair of tap units in line with customer needs.

* Manage workload to meet a defined daily schedule.

* Manage stock and inventory to ensure availability of units and parts to complete assigned tasks.

* Up to date with technical knowledge, all mandatory health and safety training completed and recorded.

* Monday to Friday: 40 hour working week (excluding 1 hour a day for travelling to/from your home location to site).

* Geographic coverage will be discussed at point of interview.

* Opportunity for overtime work on weekends to fulfil customer and business needs.

* Possible nights away by arrangement.

* Hand tools, uniform and van (for business use only) provided.

Person Specification

* Good communication verbally and electronically, in English, with customers and colleagues.

* Demonstrable experience of diagnosis and resolution of technical products issues.

* Use of hand tools including but not limited to drill, jigsaw and test tools such as multi-meter.

* Full and valid UK driving license with no more than 6 points (none of which are for dangerous or careless driving) with a minimum 3 years driving experience.

* Customer focused - you will represent the company as a brand ambassador.

* Able to carry out some heavy lifting, in line with full manual handling training.

* Comfortable to have a DBS check upon commencement of role.

* You may be required to complete high level security checks for site access.

* Hold a valid passport.

* CSCS card.

* A good understanding of electrical components, functionality and testing
