Academic Advisor | LondonSW1X | Full Time | £39,000 - £42,000 per year

Our client is responsible for arranging the placement of Kuwaiti candidates at UK universities (postgraduate and undergraduate) and language schools; following their academic progress and providing pastoral support; administering their scholarships; and developing relations with educational institutions and research centres in both the UK and Kuwait.

Our client is currently recruiting for a highly organised, efficient individual for the post of Academic Advisor working full time, Monday to Friday – 9am – 4pm.

Amongst other responsibilities, you will be responsible for students studying in UK universities, at different degree levels and to prepare materials such as student information, setting their sponsorship records and preparing academic progress reports, as well as presenting academic information to potential students.

  • Having the legal right to work in the United Kingdom
  • UK university Bachelor graduate
  • Ability to work cooperatively and productively within work teams
  • Strong in customer care and relationship building.
  • Excellent communication skills especially email and telephone.
  • Computer literacy.
  • CRB standard disclosure is required
  • Bilingual Arabic/English is preferable

What will your role look like?

  • Liaison between UK universities and the student’s sponsors
  • Academic advice and guidance for the student from arrival until completion of the study
  • Monitoring of students’ academic progress and reporting to the Sponsor
  • Maintaining accurate records for every student
  • Developing strong relations with sponsoring bodies in Kuwait and educational institutions in the UK
