A highly sought-after school in West London are looking to secure several Academic Mentor's to start in November for an ongoing full time assignment up until July 2025!!

The school

This school is a highly popular secondary school in West London with 1100 student on roll and are significantly over-subscribed year on year. They also have a growing sixth form with a broad KS5 Curriculum. The school aims for all students to achieve academic excellent and to grow in confidence through all areas of school life.

Academic Mentor

The school are looking to secure a number of academic mentors to start in September on a full time basis. This role is a great opportunity for recent graduates who are looking to gain more classroom-based experience before going on to complete their PGCE. The successful candidate will ideally have some experience working with children in a tutoring capacity however this is desirable and not essential. Application's from Graduates with a degree in English, Maths or Science will also be highly regarded.

Main duties:

  • Provide guidance and coach students on a wide range of academic and pastoral topics.
  • Running 1:1 and small group interventions for children who are struggling in core subjects and help raise attainment.
