Day-to-day of the role:
- Act as a Duty Manager for performances, rehearsals, and when providing building access for external parties.
- Administer the front of house operations, including managing three bars and merchandise sales points.
- Supervise a pool of casual and agency staff, ensuring the public safety of patrons attending events.
- Deputise for Theatre Management in your area of work and ensure compliance with all conditions of the venue's license.
- Responsible for locking up the building at the conclusion of performances.
- Ensure the safety of staff, artists, and patrons, implementing emergency procedures when necessary, including evacuation decisions.
- Participate in the recruitment and training of staff for event operations.
- Attend fire and safety inspections, maintaining relevant records.
- Monitor supplies for the theatre and catering services.
- Utilize the Front of House Point One till system and Artifax Event management System as required.
- Undertake administrative support duties across all areas.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven experience in theatre operations or a similar role.
- Strong leadership skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks.
- Knowledge of relevant legislation and safety protocols.
- Experience in customer service and staff management.
- Proficient in using theatre management systems and general IT skills.
