The role:

  • Reporting into the Channel Controller, this National Account Manager Hotels will support and grow the on-trade customer base, managing commercial relationships with large hotel brands.
  • The National Account Manager Hotels will own and develop a strategic plan in collaboration with the Line Manager and Field Sales team.
  • As a National Account Manager Hotels, you will be responsible for delivering on the agreed strategic plan for the hotel portfolio. This includes development and retention of existing business and developing new national accounts.
  • The National Account Manager Hotels will also develop an Account Plan for each hotel customer, aligned with the company/business unit plan, to meet sales, margin, and EBIT targets, creating Joint Business Plans (JBP) with key customers based on their KPIs.
  • The National Account Manager Hotels will devise, implement, and execute promotional plans including NPD, offers, menu development, and listings, while proactively managing the account portfolio from a credit perspective, resolving disputes, minimizing aged debt, and ensuring payment terms are adhered to.
  • The National Account Manager Hotels will regularly review account profitability, present business plans quarterly to senior management, maintain account contact matrices, complete site visits, and work closely with the supply chain to ensure OTIF delivery - provide regular forecasts of key SKUs for key customers.

Ideal candidate:

  • Experience managing commercial relationships with hotels is a must (ideally in a national accounts/channel manager role)
  • Experience in bakery ideal but not necessary.
  • Experience managing accounts on a national level with hotels is a must.
  • An adaptable and proactive profile will suit this business’ culture well.
  • The ideal candidate will have an appreciation for proper process and maintain accountability for their own accounts.
