Senior General Manager – “Premium fitness brand”

Salary:                  Up to £55,000+

Role

The role of the General Manager is to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the flagship fitness facility, coordinates clients for all trainers, responsible for all fitness related equipment and overseeing the fitness/aerobic programme. The role will suit a self-motivated leader who prides themselves on service and standards.

  • The management and service standards of Reception, Membership, Gym, Food and Beverage, Promotions and Changing Room
  • To monitor Membership levels monthly to achieve maximum Revenue.
  • To ensure that the venue is well maintained in compliance with health and safety legislation.
  • To help develop promotional plans outlining events and dates for upcoming events.
  • To supervise the colleagues within the department, ensuring that the correct standards and methods of service are maintained as stated in the department Operations Manuals.
  • To ensure all staff are trained to upsell all memberships and other services.
  • To monitor the standards in relation to fitness assessment when necessary.

Experience and skills:

  • Previous experience as a GM within a volume environment is desirable.
  • A strong background in health, fitness and wellness is essential.
  • Ability to drive sales and membership.
  • Excellent communicator and able to connect with all levels in the business with the ability to motivate your colleagues.
  • Excellent personal presentation with a warm and welcoming personality.
  • Have a strong eye for detail.
