Company Overview:Dynamic company based in Camden, London, seeking an experienced Part-Time Accountant to join our finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual with strong accounting skills and a keen attention to detail to contribute to a fast-paced, innovative environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial statements and reports.
  • Ensure compliance with UK tax regulations, preparing VAT returns and liaising with HMRC as required.
  • Assist with payroll processing and ensure timely submission of payroll taxes and contributions.
  • Prepare and monitor budgets, forecast cash flow, and assist with financial planning.
  • Reconcile financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information.
  • Support the preparation of management accounts and variance analysis.
  • Liaise with auditors and assist in the preparation of year-end financial audits.
  • Handle any other ad hoc accounting tasks as required.

Key Skills and Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as an accountant, preferably in a small or medium-sized business environment.
  • AAT qualified (or equivalent), or working towards a professional accounting qualification (ACCA, CIMA, ACA, etc.).
  • Strong knowledge of UK accounting and tax regulations.
  • Proficient in using accounting software (e.g., Xero, QuickBooks, Sage) and Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal.

Preferred:

  • Previous experience working in a similar part-time or flexible role.
  • Experience with payroll processing and HMRC filings.
  • Knowledge of budgeting and financial forecasting.
