A well-established, medium-sized accountancy firm are expanding their services into the exciting and rapidly evolving world of digital assets. To support this growth, we are looking for a highly skilled Chartered Accountant to join a dynamic team, specialising in cryptocurrency and blockchain industry.

About the Role:

As a Digital Asset Accountant, you will play a pivotal role in managing the financial complexities of web3 clients, offering services from crypto bookkeeping to statutory accounts preparation. This is a fantastic opportunity to apply your accounting expertise in a cutting-edge sector, where you will help the businesses navigate the unique challenges of digital assets, including swaps, staking, and liquidity provision.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Crypto Bookkeeping: Record and manage blockchain transactions, such as swaps, liquidity provision, and staking.
  • Management Accounts: Assist in the preparation of monthly and quarterly financial statements (income statements, balance sheets, and cash flows) for web3 clients.
  • Statutory Accounts: Prepare statutory accounts for digital asset entities in compliance with FRS 102(1a) or IFRS standards.
  • Ad Hoc Accounting Tasks: Handle reconciliations, journal entries, tax returns, and more.
  • Client Support: Provide high-quality client service, respond to inquiries, and ensure timely delivery of financial information.
  • Professional Development: Stay up-to-date with digital asset accounting practices through ongoing training and development.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Chartered Accountant qualification (ACA, ACCA, or equivalent).
  • Strong knowledge of accounting standards (FRS 102, IFRS) and accounting software (e.g., Xero, QuickBooks).
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving skills, with high attention to detail.
  • Interest or experience in the cryptocurrency and blockchain space.
  • Strong communication skills and a client-centric approach.
