Exciting Opportunity for an Assistant Financial Controller to join a thriving Construction Business!

Communicate are partnering with a multinational Construction business as they look to bring an Assistant Financial Controller on board to lead and shape their financial future!

Key Responsibilities:

  • Help lead Financial Control: Take ownership of the accounting and financial control functions, ensuring the company’s financial health is in top shape
  • Collaborate with Leadership: Work closely with the FC, Management Accountant, and Strategic Finance to strengthen the finance team and drive business strategy.
  • Manage Financial Closures: Oversee and streamline monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
  • Investor & Stakeholder Reporting: Prepare and analyze critical reports for investors, the Board, and key internal stakeholders, providing valuable insights into the company’s financial performance.
  • External Oversight: Manage external consultants for UK audits and tax credit filings, ensuring compliance and maximising opportunities.
  • Drive Process Optimisation: Spearhead initiatives to enhance efficiency, standardise processes, and scale financial operations in line with the company’s growth.

Requirements:

  • ACA/ACCA or Equivalent Qualification
  • Construction experience (MUST HAVE)
  • Understanding of IRISH ifrs/tax compliance would be strongly desired
  • Someone who is looking for a step up
  • Experience with ERP Systems, BI Tools, and Automation Software
  • Experience in VC/PE backed environments is essential
