Agora Talent is delighted to be working with a hugely popular fashion retail group on the search to bring an Assistant Management Accountant into their team.
The business currently operate with over 100 stores across Europe, with plans to open ten new stores per year. The role….
This role has a focus on all things inventory; you’ll be reporting directly to the Inventory Accountant (Finance Manager) as well as the Head of Finance.
- Assisting with inventory, sales, and cost of goods sold (COGS) analysis.
- Supporting freight, duties, and taxes through processing and detailed analysis.
- Managing shared service expenses, including IT, HR, loss prevention, and HQ occupancy costs.
- Overseeing payroll expenses for headquarters and brand teams.
- Conducting balance sheet reconciliations, preparing budgets, and addressing audit requests for relevant areas.
- Handling accruals and prepayments.
- Performing profit and loss (P&L) variance analysis.
- Creating detailed supporting schedules.
- Developing bridges to explain variances compared to forecasts and prior years.
- Assisting with ad hoc analyses and addressing queries.
- Supporting audit processes as required.
- Collaborating with key stakeholders, including brand and group finance teams, as well as service providers and auditors.
About you…
- Part-qualified ACCA/CIMA or equivalent
- Previous relevant month-end reporting experience
- Retail or consumer experience is highly desirable
- Strong Excel skills; V-LOOKUPS, X-LOOKUPS, Pivot Tables etc
- Knowledge of SQL and/or Power BI highly advantageous
- Clear communication skills to deal with various stakeholders
