Assistant Management Accountant

They are looking for an ambitious Assistant Management Accountant to join our finance team and support our Senior Management Accountant in the day-to-day management of the accounts. This role is a temp to perm opportunity.Your new roleThe Assistant Management Accountant will play a key role in supporting the financial operations of the company. This position is perfect for someone who is looking to take the next step in their career and gain more responsibility in management accounting. The successful candidate will work closely with the Senior Management Accountant to ensure accurate financial reporting and analysis.

• Assist in the preparation of monthly management accounts and financial reports.
• Conduct variance analysis and provide insights to support business decisions.
• Support the budgeting and forecasting processes.
• Reconcile balance sheet accounts and maintain accurate financial records.
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities.
• Collaborate with various departments to gather financial information and address queries.
• Prepare and review financial statements and support audit processes.
• Participate in ad-hoc financial projects and initiatives as required.

What you'll need to succeed

• Part-qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent) with relevant experience in management accounting or experience in preparing monthly accounts.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Available to start before Christmas!!
