The Assistant Management Accountant is responsible for preparing P&Ls, balance sheet reconciliations and producing various reports/ packs accurately and on a timely basis. The role reports directly into the Finance Manager in a small finance team within a professional services company. The client is seeking a candidate from an AP background with the desire to develop in the management accounting space.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in preparation of monthly management packs including preparation of P&Ls, analysis of trends and variance reporting
- Preparation of monthly balance sheet reconciliations including bank reconciliations, prepayments, accruals, fixed assets etc
- Assisting in the preparation of weekly NFI flash reporting
- Assist in preparation of adhoc reports for UK Financial Controller, UK Finance Director and Heads of Business within the UK.
- Assistance in the year end budgeting process
- Assisting with the year-end procedures including preparation of statutory accounts, preparation of tax computations and liaising with the external and internal auditors
- Assistance in collating information from the various RS teams based on site at clients on a weekly and monthly basis.
- Assisting in various data cleansing procedures.
