Meraki Talent are partnering with a re-insurance organisation to help them recruit an Assistant Management Accountant on a 12-month fixed-term contract. You will work directly with the Management Accountant and provide support to the wider business. This is an exciting time to join the organisation, as they are undergoing change, and you will have the opportunity to be involved in multiple projects. Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare Quarterly Finance Packs for Executive, Committee, and Board meetings.
  • Assist with budgets, reforecasts, and IFRS 17 implementation.
  • Produce reports for regulatory bodies, ensuring compliance.
  • Manage accounts payable, prepayments, accruals, and journal entries.
  • Oversee expense processing, claims, and payment workflows.
  • Maintain and update procedural manuals for consistency.
  • Support finance projects, including automation and system improvements.
  • Provide team support and assist the FP&A Accountant and CFO as needed.
Person Specification:
  • Part-qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA, ACA) or equivalent.
  • Strong analytical skills, balancing detail with the bigger picture.
  • Motivated to develop expertise in insurance.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proactive problem-solver with a curious mindset.
  • Effective time management, handling multiple priorities.
  • Skilled in building and maintaining relationships.
