My client is a well-known secondary school looking to recruit an Assistant Management Accountant on a long term contract basis to join their Finance Team. The role will support the Head of Finance in preparing management accounts, budgets, and financial reports. Your responsibilities will include:

Assisting with monthly management accounts and financial reporting
Supporting budget planning, forecasting, and variance analysis processes
Processing invoices, posting of journals, reconciliations and assisting with payroll
Maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring compliance with financial regulations
Working closely with department heads to provide financial insights and support decision-making

What We’re Looking For

Part-qualified or studying towards a recognised accounting qualification (AAT, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent)
Experience in a similar finance role, looking to step up to more management accounting duties
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
Proficiency in financial software and Excel
A proactive and team-oriented approach with excellent communication skills
