Assistant Management Accountant
A leading London-based international law firm is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Assistant Management Accountant to join their Accounts team in London. This hybrid role offers flexibility with 3 days in the office and 2 days working from home at their Central London location.
Position Overview:As an Assistant Management Accountant, you will play a vital role in preparing management accounts, maintaining financial records, and supporting budgeting and forecasting activities. This is an excellent opportunity to grow your career within a supportive and ambitious team.
Key Responsibilities for the Assistant Management Accountant:
- Assisting in the preparation of monthly management accounts
- Posting prepayments, accruals, and journals
- Maintaining the fixed asset register
- Managing monthly fee earner targets
- Authorising supplier invoices, staff expense claims, and bank payments
- Supporting budgeting, forecasting, and ad hoc reporting tasks

The Ideal Applicant:
- Experience in an accounts team (legal sector or accountancy practice experience preferred)
- Strong Excel skills and a proactive, flexible attitude
- Currently studying towards an accountancy qualification (ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
