In this exciting position, you will support the finance team with essential tasks such as bank reconciliation, debtor management, invoicing, and preparing management accounts. Duties:

  • Bank Reconciliation: Conduct daily/monthly bank reconciliations ensuring accuracy and resolving discrepancies.
  • Cashflow Management / Forecasting: Assist with actual cashflow updates and contribute to cashflow projections.
  • Invoicing & Sales Management: Prepare and issue sales invoices promptly and accurately.
  • Debtor Management & Credit Control: Monitor outstanding debts and ensure timely collection of payments.
  • Internal Controls: Enhance internal controls around sales and invoicing for accuracy and timeliness.
  • Management Accounts & Balance Sheet Reconciliations: Support the preparation of monthly management accounts and balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Accounting Software & Journals: Utilise Xero for posting journals and maintaining financial records.
  • Business Analysis & Reporting: Assist with ad-hoc business analysis projects, providing insights to improve financial performance.

Requirements:

  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and concepts.
  • Experience with Xero, GoCardless, and Dext (or similar software) is a plus.
  • Proficiency in bank reconciliation, invoicing, debtor management, and credit control.
  • Analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Good organisational and communication skills.
