Assistant Property AccountantCity£28-£30kFull study packageBonusNon-Contributory pensionThe role: Our role is with a large landlord in the property accounts team. This is an excellent opportunity for a property Purchase Ledger/Cashier to step up to become an Assistant Property Accountant as this role offers full training as well as the opportunity to complete your study alongside the role. Duties:

  • Processing all supplier invoices and preparation of supplier twice monthly supplier payment runs.
  • ???????Collections and arrears reporting for Rent and Service Charge. Credit control, updating collections notes on the property accounting system.
  • Assisting with preparation of Service Charge Budget Packs and Service Charge Year End Packs.
  • Assisting with tenant queries.
  • Assisting with quarterly rental, service charge and utility billings for the buildings and associated reconciliations to budgets and sign off processes.
  • Assisting with reconciliation of any historic balances to cleardown.
  • Assisting with Bank Reconciliations.
  • Assisting with production of periodic financial information, management meeting reports, for multi stakeholder use/ presenting to management.
  • Assisting with completion statements, arrears figures, etc.

Requirements:

  • 2 years property purchase ledger/sales ledger or cashiering experience
  • Bank reconciliations - either experience or a solid understanding
  • A desire to study towards AAT or similar accounting qualification.
  • Strong Excel skills
  • Understanding of service charge reconciliations.
  • A robust personality who are sociable, positive and a good team-player.
