This employer is seeking a detail orientated professional with supervisory level experience ready to progress in their career as an Audit Manager in London.

An employer-of-choice, this firm will offer the successful candidate an exciting opportunity to support a large and varied client portfolio leading on the provision of complex audits from planning through to completion. They are seeking an inquisitive, motivated and energetic person who can lead and inspire a team and provide their clients with outstanding channels of communication. You’ll be experienced in leading audit in UK practice and you’ll likely be ACCA/ACA qualified or QBE.

This role will involve plenty of project management. The post holder will be standing at the helm of multiple streams of work and will take full responsibility for the allocation of resources, performance of the team and deadline expectations.

Job Purpose
  • Autonomously manage a portfolio of audit clients, ensuring expectations, deadlines, and budgets are met.
  • Work closely with Partners to provide the highest standard of service.
  • Lead audit engagements from planning to completion, responsible for all aspects of the assignment.
  • Support junior staff with performance, learning and development.
  • Build trusted and long-lasting client relationships, proactively handling queries.
  • Identify services that will add value to your portfolio of clients.
  • Business development and networking.
  • Champion your own professional development, scoping training opportunities.

The Successful Applicant
  • ACA/ACCA qualified with previous practice experience
  • Strong working knowledge of UK audit and accounting standards.
  • Strong communication skills are essential, both verbal and written.
  • Supervisory experience with good people management and mentoring skills.
  • Able to work autonomously whilst delivering a high standard of service.
  • Self-motivated, reliable and highly organised.
  • A drive to deliver technical knowledge as a point of call for the team.
  • Business development experience.
  • Confident in reviewing processes and improving systems to boost efficiency.
  • An eagerness to progress with the firm, undertaking continuous professional development.
