I am currently recruiting an Audit Semi-Senior for a Top 15 firm based in London. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious individual with a strong ACA or ACCA exam record to join a growing team and take on a hands-on role in all aspects of the audit process.

As an Audit Semi-Senior, you will be involved in the complete audit cycle from planning through to completion, gaining valuable exposure to a diverse portfolio of clients. While the firm has a hybrid working policy, they prefer trainees to be in the office more than not to ensure continuous development and interaction with the team.

What you will be doing as an Audit Semi Senior:

  • Assist with planning, execution, and completion of audits for a varied client base.
  • Work on audits from start to finish, including planning, fieldwork, and final review.
  • Prepare financial statements in accordance with UK GAAP and IFRS.
  • Supervise and mentor junior staff members, providing support and guidance throughout the audit process.
  • Develop and maintain strong client relationships, acting as a point of contact where appropriate.
  • Identify areas for efficiency improvements within the audit process and provide recommendations.
  • Manage multiple audits simultaneously, ensuring deadlines and budgets are met.
  • Liaise with senior managers and partners, assisting with the delivery of audit services.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Strong ACA or ACCA exam record with significant progress in your qualification (preferably completed at least 1.5 years of your training contract).
  • Minimum of 18 months' experience in audit, ideally within a Top 15 firm or similar environment.
  • Experience in all aspects of the audit process from planning to completion.
  • A strong technical understanding of UK GAAP and IFRS.
  • Ability to manage time effectively, working on multiple audits and meeting deadlines.
  • Good communication skills with the ability to build relationships with clients and colleagues.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
