Job Purpose

  • Planning audit engagements and leading onsite teams (70% of the role)
  • Preparation of accounts and tax computations within audit engagements (30% of the role)
  • Support a varied portfolio of clients acting in a pivotal role beneath the seniors and managers
  • Provide support to Managers and Directors
  • Build strong relationships with clients, proactively handling queries and problem solving
  • Deliver a strong understanding of risk management during audits, with a critical eye to ensure accuracy
  • Keep up to date with audit regulations and emerging trends that could impact the audit function
  • Coach juniors by reviewing work and skill sharing across the department
  • Manage your own workload autonomously, ensuring expectations, deadlines, and budgets are met
  • Champion your own professional development, undertaking training opportunities

Job Requirements

  • ACA/ACCA qualified, part-qualified or studying
  • Demonstrable experience in client-facing role and undertaking statutory audits within practice
  • Excellent understanding of UK GAAP/FRS 102
  • Working knowledge of relevant software, including Microsoft Office, Xero, Sage and QuickBooks
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbally
  • Strong time management and a positive, can-do attitude when working under pressure
  • A team player who is eager to support the wider team
  • Ability to build enhance relationships with clients and colleagues alike
  • Self-motivated with the ability to manage own workload
  • Keen to progress within the firm and learn from an experienced team
