Audit Senior Top 100 - 2 Days in the Office

Ambition is working with a fast-growing Top 100 firm in Central London, looking to take on two Audit Seniors due to continued growth. The firm is one of the fastest-growing in the Top 100, particularly in terms of organic growth. The audit team is the fastest-growing team in the firm, with an average growth rate of over 33% in recent years.

Clients in the team range from larger Owner-Managed Businesses (OMBs) to multinational and listed businesses. The firm is in a strong position to selectively choose clients, ensuring they avoid high-risk engagements and maintain a healthy work-life balance for their team.

There is a real focus on work-life balance in the firm, offering excellent flexibility with only 2 days in the office required! Additionally, they aim to recognise staff potential early on and provide the support and development needed for career progression.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Audit Planning and Execution: Leading the audit process from start to finish, ensuring compliance with auditing standards and regulations.
  • Team Leadership: Assigning tasks to junior auditors, reviewing their work for accuracy, and providing mentorship and guidance.
  • Client Relations: Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, understanding their business needs, and gathering necessary audit data.
  • Risk and Control Evaluation: Conducting risk assessments and evaluating internal controls to ensure they are effective and compliant.
  • Reporting: Preparing comprehensive audit reports, presenting findings to management and stakeholders, and recommending improvements for compliance and efficiency.
  • Technical Proficiency: Applying knowledge of IFRS and local GAAP, and staying updated on current market trends and auditing practices.
  • Continuous Development: Continuously enhancing your skills and knowledge, and sharing insights with colleagues to improve the overall audit process.

Requirements:

  • ACA, ICAEW, ACCA, or equivalent qualification.
  • Audit experience at a Top 100, mid-tier, or large independent firm in the UK.
  • Extensive experience working under UK GAAP/FRS 102.
  • Experience with IFRS is beneficial.
  • Experience auditing listed clients and AIM-listed clients is advantageous.
