REED Accountancy is currently representing a Top 50 firm in the City of London, seeking an Audit Senior. Day-to-day of the role:
  • Oversee the audit process for each job, ensuring effective supervision of semi-senior and junior staff.
  • Lead teams on assignments, reporting directly to the corresponding manager or partner.
  • Work predominantly with the audit team on a diverse portfolio of clients including entrepreneurial owner-managed businesses, high net worth individuals, and some listed clients.
  • Get involved with ad hoc specialist assignments as they arise.
  • Plan, execute, and complete audit work to a high standard.
  • Train juniors during an audit, delegate, monitor, and review their work.
  • Take full responsibility for each audit assignment, completing the audit work within the agreed timescale with support from the relevant manager or partner.
  • Prepare and implement high-quality work programmes.
  • Attend and contribute to external planning and completion audit meetings.
  • Deal with technical issues or seek guidance when necessary.
  • Manage general office-based duties and act as a buddy for new intakes.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Must be Qualified ACA or ACCA.
  • Desire to work in a 100% Audit position.
  • Up-to-date working knowledge of financial reporting, accounting standards, auditing standards, company law, and a good basic knowledge of corporate tax.
  • Previous experience in a similar role with the ability to multi-task.
