Job Purpose

  • Support the delivery of audit assignments from planning to completion
  • Lead onsite audit teams to ensure quality audit fieldwork
  • Preparation of information requests and assignment terms letters
  • Preparation of financial statements and review statutory accounts, corporation tax computations and returns
  • Take responsibility for individual assignments to ensure effective and timely delivery
  • Update clients regularly to communicate audit progress
  • Converse clearly and effectively by using computer software including IRIS, Sage, Xero and QuickBooks
  • Support junior staff by reviewing work and enhancing their audit understanding
  • Attend client meetings clients, building strong rapport and proactively handling queries
  • Work to client expectations, budgets, and deadlines
  • Promote services to existing and prospective clients
  • Champion your own professional development, proactively learning from the experienced team
  • Support the wider firm with ad hoc duties as needed

The Successful Applicant

  • ACCA or ACA qualified, finalist or studying, with recent experience within practice
  • Solid understanding of UK audit regulations
  • Demonstrable experience in a client-facing role
  • Proven track record of leading audit assignments from planning to completion
  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Self-motivated, reliable and committed to progression
  • A strong work ethic, time management and organisational skills
  • Enthusiasm to learn from an experienced team
