Job Purpose

  • Support the delivery of audit assignments from planning to completion, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders
  • Lead onsite audit teams to ensure quality audit fieldwork, undertaking testing and ensuring budgets and deadlines are met
  • Draft corporation and income tax computations
  • Liase with HMRC on work assignments
  • Supervise and coach junior staff both on site and in the office by reviewing work
  • Ensure audit procedures are followed meticulously
  • Converse clearly and effectively by using computer software including IRIS, Sage, Xero and QuickBooks
  • Manage own workload and regularly update managers with work progress
  • Liaise directly with clients, building strong rapport and proactively handling queries
  • Champion your own professional development, proactively learning from the experienced team
  • Support the wider firm with ad hoc duties as needed

The Successful Applicant

  • ACCA or ACA qualified, part qualified or studying
  • Proven track record of leading audit assignments within practice environment
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Good working knowledge of audit software such as Caseware
  • Self-motivated, reliable and eager to progress
  • A strong work ethic, time management and organisational skills
  • Enthusiasm to learn from an experienced team and progress within the firm
  • Hands-on attitude towards building client relationships
  • Proactive problem solver with a keen eye for detail
  • Able to work confidently with senior team members
