Day-to-day of the role:- Planning and leading audit engagements, primarily onsite, which accounts for 70% of the time.
- Preparing accounts and drafting tax computations, comprising the remaining 30% of duties.
- Liaising with clients to resolve queries and escalating complex matters to managers or partners.
- Reviewing team members’ work before submission to ensure quality and compliance.
- Coaching junior staff and providing feedback to aid their development.
- Managing assignment times to adhere to predetermined budgets.
- Experience in statutory audits within an accountancy practice is essential.
- Fully qualified ACA or ACCA.
- Proficient knowledge of UK GAAP / FRS 102.
- Strong client-facing skills.
- Familiarity with audit software, preferably Caseware, and proficiency in Microsoft Office packages.
- Ability to work flexibly and adapt to a dynamic work environment.
