Audit Senior

A prestigious firm in the City of London firm with a strong UK presence is seeking an Audit Senior or an ACCA/ACA exam finalist with a few papers remaining. The firm values candidates who can demonstrate the ability to lead an audit from planning to completion, even if they have experienced a few exam setbacks. This role offers a healthy work-life balance and exposure to financial reporting, due diligence, and tax returns.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Act as the senior on audits, reporting directly to the audit manager.
  • Responsible for the entire audit process, from planning to completion, including drafting financial statements.
  • Provide solutions and input on areas of concern or judgement as appropriate.
  • Undertake audit fieldwork at client premises, managing client expectations effectively.
  • Supervise and delegate work to less experienced members of the audit team, providing necessary feedback.
  • Communicate regularly with the audit manager on audit progress and recommend improvements for clients’ accounting systems and controls.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • ACA qualified or almost fully qualified ACA accountant with strong technical skills.
  • Professionalism and a team-oriented approach when working on client premises.
  • Solid practical accounting experience.
  • Excellent knowledge of UK GAAP / FRS102.
  • Positive and professional demeanor, with excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Solid auditing experience and knowledge of relevant accounting standards.
  • Flexible, ‘can do’ attitude, able to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
