Interim Audit Senior Contractor - £lucrative date rate - Top 50 firm - London

Your new companyYour new company is a Top 50 firm of Chartered Accountants based in the City of London. This firm works with clients from a variety of industries, including SMEs, NFP, hospitality and travel to name a few, this firm also works with large corporates. This firm provides a range of services including advisory, audit and taxation. This Top 50 firm is looking for a talented Audit Senior Contractors to join the team in London, this role lasts approximately one month, with the possibility of extension. Your new roleAs an Audit Senior, you'll be working within a well-established team and provide your clients with a high-quality audit and accounting service. Some of your duties and responsibilities including:

  • Leading audit assignments for a diverse client base, reviewing and finalising audit workpapers and financial statements, in line with UK GAAP/FRS 102 and IFRSs
  • Supervising and reviewing the work and delivery of junior team members.
  • Ensuring completion of assignments within an appropriate budget and timeframe.
  • Preparing client paperwork (Accounts, tax, PAYE, VAT) within allocated deadlines for timely submission to HMRC.
  • Managing client expectations, arranging closing meetings to finalise accounts.

What you'll need to succeedTo be successful in this role, ideally you will have the attributes and skills listed below:

  • Recent audit experience within a UK Chartered Accountants, including working with a wide range of clients - some accounts prep experience is also desirable
  • Experience leading and managing audits from planning to completion, including a small team reporting into you on engagements
  • Ideally, you will have strong software skills, including the Microsoft packages and Pro-Audit. Strong communication skills
